Electric Vehicle (EV) Chargers should be installed by an electrician that knows EV Chargers. A Level 1 Charger usually comes with an Electric or Hybrid Vehicle and can be plugged into a 120 Volt outlet in your garage. This 120 Volt outlet should be dedicated and only be used for charging your Electric or Hybrid Vehicle. A Level 1 Charger takes longer to charge a battery than a Level 2 Charger. A Level 2 Charger is a better option for a more rapid charge. A Level 2 Charger is typically installed on an interior garage wall or at the exterior of a home in proximity of where an Electric Vehicle will be parked.
